Welcome to my Brainetics reviews site!
My name is Rachael Perry and I’m an elementary school teacher and mother of two darling girls.
I started this website because, like many parents, I’m always looking for ways to improve my daughters’ learning abilities. Although I send my girls to public school, I always find there are numerous ways to improve your child’s learning outside the school environment. As an elementary school teacher, I know full well the benefits of giving your child a bit of “individualized’ education at home.
And when I heard about the Brainetics program from a friend, I immediately looked around for some Brainetics reviews to find out how well this program worked.
Unfortunately, I did not find many Brainetics reviews that were particularly helpful at the time. Most of them seemed either too biased or too critical of how the program worked. Since I’m an elementary school teacher anyways, I figured it would be worthwhile to pick up the program and find out exactly how well it worked first-hand.
I’ve decided to put together this brief Brainetics review to relate my experiences with the program and help you decide whether to get Brainetics for your family. At the end of the review, I show you where to get Brainetics for the best deal online.
What Is Brainetics?
Brainetics is basically a comprehensive learning program that will help your child think faster and retain knowledge better. It comes with 5 DVD’s, 2 workbooks, playing cards, and flash cards, with each element playing a different role in stimulating your child’s learning abilities.
The primary focus of Brainetics is on memorization exercises and math problems. It teaches your child patterns in mathematics so they can complete complex problems quicker. According to the company, knowledge and skills gained with Brainetics can be applied to numerous subjects in school, thus helping your child perform to the best of his/her abilities and achieve high grades.
This of course seems like a pretty tall order for a simple DVD program. Can it actually improve your child’s learning?
My Experiences With Brainetics
When I popped in the first DVD I didn’t tell my daughter what it was at first. I know if I mentioned it was a “fun learning program” she would immediately run from the room. Within a few minutes though, she was hooked.
The program is setup as a kind of gameshow, with Mike Byster as the host and a few kids as the students. He then proceeds to show the kids various math tricks and memorization strategies and then proceeds to quiz the kids on them. What really makes this program fun is that the math tricks he shows them are actually quite easy, but can be applied to very complex equations.
The whole focus of the program is to provide a “fun” way to improve your learning capabilities. And as my daughter can attest, the program was indeed quite fun. She usually likes to do it after dinner before starting her homework.
In terms of grades, I have definitely noticed a clear improvement. She has become much faster at completing math problems and does well in other subjects as well. As a result, I feel that Brainetics improves your child’s overall learning abilities – not just in math. This is because Brainetics engages both sides of your child’s brain; one part processes information while the other part stores information. This skill is helpful in all subjects and is important to develop early in your child’s learning.
Other Brainetics Reviews
Before writing this article, I came across a number of other detailed Brainetics reviews. For the most part, reviewers seemed thrilled with how effective this program was. They liked how it turned learning into a fun and rewarding experience – something that kids would actually enjoy.
Pros:
- Very effective at improving your child’s math abilities
- Easy to understand
- Fun
- Skills learned in Brainetics can be applied to other school subjects
- Could have included a software component (so kids can play games on the computer too)
- Cannot be completed without knowing multiplication tables or basic division.
Conclusion: Is Brainetics Worth It?
If you want your child to perform at the top of his/her class in school, you will definitely want to look into the Brainetics learning program. It will unlock untapped sections of their brain and allow them to learn new knowledge quickly. However, be aware that your child needs to know their multiplication tables and basic division before trying this program.
With a price tag of $150, Brainetics offers a lot of value for how much you pay. It can provide your child with years of benefits and have a noticeable effect on your child’s scholarly achievements. And in today’s world, it is so important to give your child every possible resource to succeed in school. Although academic achievement is not everything, colleges are placing increasing importance on grades and it is getting tougher to get in. In my opinion, Brainetics is a small investment to make early on than can pay off hugely down the road.
